While traveling to my next stop I walked by the UNH’s "money
pit" Kennilworth Ave. building. Holy
Shite! I had a good look around the perimeter of the unfinished
building. At the entrance I had to snicker at
the step by step instructions on how to enter the building. Jeezus! Visitors and guests can't be that stupid. :P
Celebration Of Life.
I arrived at a family and friends gathering in memory of the late Janice
Card (Montour) held at a Legion banquet hall on Barton Street. I was late and missed the ceremony but that
didn’t matter her sisters greeted me and I was invited to help myself to the
buffet. Oh My Gosh! The food was delicious and I ate in air
conditioned comfort. There was a huge
crowd of people who I didn’t know soon after the family came over to talk to
me. Janice was a fellow tenant and friend. The sisters were surprised when I shared the
story that I once asked Janice to be my date to a play presented at Theatre Aquarius. Later as I was about to leave the family
offered me a huge container of leftover sandwiches which I accepted, I said I
will share it with my fellow tenants who couldn’t attend. Soon after while riding the bus for home I had
time to think. Janice Card (Montour) was
loved by many people and by signing the condolence book it gave me the chance
to say goodbye to a wonderful woman. I didn’t feel sadness I felt content and
I know she’s in a place free of pain and with the Creator.
With the family’s permission I took a few pix.
