H.O.W. The Cop Caller

Please click the link below for the definition of a cop caller according to the Urban Dictionary.

Well folks!  Just as I suspected whenever H.O.W. Lynda Jones is upset she calls the cops over something menial and I am assuming Ingrid Nosel put her up to it.  She did this before in March 2015 and here we go again.  Late Friday afternoon as I’m delivering take out fish and chip dinners to tenant Elder Judy who has a physical disability I met up with two police officers at the building entrance.  I am told last week they received a complaint from H.O.W. Lynda Jones in regard to a small out of focus crappy pix of her sitting on the courtyard bench which I posted in a previous blog four weeks ago.  There was nothing obscene about the pix she wasn’t posing naked in a provocative manner, just a person fully clothed sitting and wearing sunglasses.
The police and I had a short and to the point conversation (all the while I’m holding two hot fish & chip dinners) I listen to what they had to say and then I was allowed to speak on my behalf.  I reminded the police officers there is no court order signed by a judge stating I have restrictions at KMHC and they acknowledged that.  The officers were civil and didn’t pull “the tough cop routine” in which case I would have exercise my right to walked away.  There was a complaint and they were trying to work out a solution.  The male officer suggested I talk to UNH’s upper management to clear the air, I said to him I’ve tried that six months ago in writing and I never got a response back from the acting director of UNH’s.  He displayed a surprise reaction.  The officers were also totally unaware of the UNH’s financial scandal so I filled them in.
The female officer could tell I’m a level headed man and not the prick the staff make me out to be.  The officers hinted the complaints are petty and I agree.  So the bottom line is Lynda wants the pix removed.  Hmm! I thought about it for….10 seconds and because the police officers were respectful and polite.  I agreed I will remove the tiny pix this one time but on two conditions:

1. During off hours any correspondence from me regarding tenant issues will be delivered under the office door and accepted by UNH’s.
2. For the duration of Lynda’s employment she is not to communicate with me while at the KMHC building.

The officers agreed that sounds reasonable and will pass the message on to H.O.W. Lynda Jones.

In closing I would like bloggers to never be discouraged to write your thoughts, post pic and videos, stick to the guidelines and you'll be fine.  As for me, I wasn’t intimidated by the presence of local police there were no charges or fines issued and no demand from the officers to remove the pix.  It was a simple request from the Hamilton Police Services.  We ended the conversation cordially with a thank you and have a good evening.  On social media freedom of speech and expression is alive and well.
I wrote this blog Friday evening right after I finished my fish & chip dinner and I decided to post it today.   After a successful meeting on Friday at the Aboriginal Affairs office in Toronto, Canada I wasn’t going to allow HPS or UNH’s ruin my weekend.  June is Aboriginal month in North America and I plan on celebrating it to the fullest.  Please visit and support your local Aboriginal Pow Wow event, the Native dancers will knock your socks off.  :)

Wigwamin Terrace

After many years I received a call for Toronto Native Housing offering a vacancy so I decided to explore my options by attending a viewing of what's available. But first I did a phone interview with acting project manager Paul Feitelberg. He said my personal and financial information checks out fine then we talked about the negative reference I got from Ontario Aboriginal Housing Services. I was asked for my side of the story and I also invited Paul to read this blog site to find out more who I am.  A few days later I called Paul for an update, I was complimented on my blog posts and he could see the love and compassion I have for the Native people on this blog site.  Due to the Hamilton cyber attack it was difficult for Paul get a reference from my current housing provider so with my assistance I helped him get in contact with their office. I received an excellent tenant reference from my housing provider. When I asked about OAHS he said he's going to ignore their negative re...

The Ladies of KMHC

I & friend Teresa Last week I attended a program host by NWC Hamilton, it was there I met up with six female tenants of KMHC.   It was nice to see the ladies again I was greeted with hugs and smiles.   The program was Holistic teachings by Jane Burning she spoke about the Creator and positive thinking.   I enjoyed the presentation though it was a wee bit long.   During lunch break I had the chance to chat with the KMHC tenants to find out how’s life going at KMHC.   Things haven’t improved most tenants don’t like each other and there’s a lot of negative energy in the building.   I offered a sympathetic ear and didn’t judge as they shared their stories. The big problem with KMHC is tenant Aunt Opie and I’m glad she didn’t attend the NWC program.   You may recall I spoke of her in past blogs, aunt Opie’s negativity spreads throughout KMHC.   She brags about sending false complaint e-mails about tenants and staff to Justin the head direc...

Koo Gaa Da Win Manitou

I hope one day we can truly say there is a haven where older natives who experienced homelessness can find a place to call home and have the resources available for the best quality of life in their golden years. Koo Ga Da Win Manitou Housing Complex has a long journey in order to reach that goal. Perhaps more funding is needed or better trained/experienced outreach workers who can relate to tenants concerns and health issues. Programs that would interest all tenants as a whole would be nice. Most important we tenants must try to get along with their neighbours. (as the good book says "Love thy neighbour") I've been here less then a year and I've observed alot, we have a diversity of tenants living in the building from different reservations and walks of life. Some have problems with alcohol, prescription drug addictions, physical disabilities and slight mental disabilities. The one thing we all have in common is our health concerns, from chronic back pain to deadly...
