The Aftermath

This afternoon I got a knock on my door it was PC Terry Oliver of the Hamilton Regional Police Dept.   He wanted to know the events that happened yesterday on the street between me and John Nosel. I told him exactly what I wrote in my previous blog and I stand by my statement.  According to the officer John Nosel denied he was taking pictures but was playing video games.  Right!  What 60 year old man plays video games on a white camera phone raised up to eye level and clicking one button.:P   The officer nodded when I said it’s not right to take pictures without the person’s consent.
He asked if I had any mental health issues I replied no, I didn’t take offence to his question I understand he’s doing his job.  Then he asked what started the problem between Ingrid and I, I immediately said “it’s because of this blog” and nothing to do with my tenancy.
The officer said Ingrid is afraid of me, which I replied her fear is totally unnecessary, I’ve never verbally threaten her with physical harm or used abusive language.  I told the officer I think she seriously needs counseling because she falling apart and it’s affecting everybody in the building, staff and tenants. The officer then said Ingrid will be relocated temporarily I didn't bother to ask for details.
Remember some months ago when Anonymous send me warning messages about Ingrid and her mental state and she wanting me out of here?  Well it looks like the poster is correct.
The officer strongly suggest both parties have no verbal communication whats so ever which I fully agreed with. After John’s outburst yesterday he’s the last creepy person I’d want to talk or be near to.
Janis Lewis was also mentioned by the officer.
Right now all I want is peace and quiet and to get on with my life and to start writing things positive about this place…..If that is even possible.  :P

PC Oliver - He was apprehensive to enter my unit but I insisted he come in, he scanned around the unit trying to look like he was admiring the place when in actuality he was looking for my security camera. he never found it, it was right under his nose. :)  He's different from the previous officer, he's soft spoken and sat down at the table, looking relaxed and we had a talk. Later when he was about to leave he didn't offer to shake hands.

I forgot to mention this when I wrote this blog I checked with PC Oliver and I asked him twice,I’m not to communication with Ingrid & John Nosel only. There was no mention that I couldn't speak to the staff on a social or professional level. Mind you that doesn't mean the staff didn't received orders from UNH's not to speak to me. Which I think is unreasonable.

On Feb 4 2014 @ approx 1.45 pm Ingrid Nosel broke the agreement we made as per PC Oliver's instruction that we do not communicate with each other directly. The outburst and crazed look she gave me at the tenant meeting proves she's not what she seems.

Poor Working Environment

My unit is located near the KMHC office, along with a friendly wave or hello I see the junior staff going about their business in a cheerful manner with the exception of one employee.   You would think KMHC has a pleasant working environment but that is not the case.   March 2016 is when Urban Native Homes head office was forced to move from their former spacious location to the cramp basement level of KMHC.   There were approx. 8-10 staff members at the time.   Then the Urban Native Homes financial scandal broke out and soon after the current UNH acting director’s illicit past became public knowledge, everyone was worried will they have a job.  Fearful meetings going on in the community room, the rumor mill was in full rotation while I just stood back and observed the panic.   Check your search engine it states this building location is Urban Native Homes head office yet that is not correct.  There is no real head office, the organization has s...

The Passing of Dean King

There's not many original KMHC tenants left that I know, last week I got word tenant Dean King passed away, we were not related and I remember when he moved in the building we got along well, we hung out often and he shared stories about his life and family. Eventually I notice he wasn't the sharpest pencil in the drawer and I started drifting away thus ended our friendship. Dean didn't have the usual addictions most male aboriginals endure he didn't drink or do drugs the problem was his mental state which I believe began after an auto accident years before.  After I moved out of KMHC I'd often see him standing in line at the food bank in Gore Park in downtown Hamilton or hanging out with street friend Galina in Jackson Square food court. He didn't have many friends and other KMHC tenants just tolerated and accepted his strange behavior. He'd walk the streets looking disheveled and lost.  When I received the news Dean died I didn't feel sad I felt surpri...

Sandy Holland

On February 27th 2025 I heard the passing of tenant Elder Sandy Holland. I knew she was in bad health and said to her friend she's ready to go.  I met her years ago when she moved to KMHC she seem a bit daffy yet in a nice way, never spoke mean about others but had strong opinions about UNH staff. We would meet at UNH dinner functions and meetings and always offered me hug. She never got personal sharing her life stories with me which I can respect. RIP
