Last Thursday at 12 noon I was having a pleasant chat with fellow tenant Robert about Thanksgiving holiday dinners and current events at
the front of the building. Suddenly tenant
Dean King exits the building in a wild rage claiming we are talking about
him. At first I tried to assure him that
is not so but he wouldn’t listen and moved on to verbal insults and aggressive
posturing. I’ve gone through this before
with him and I had enough. We got into a
verbal sparring match while I stood in a defensive position. Soon there was silence then he starts
a crazed laughter, turns around continues his insults and walks away. This was recorded on security surveillance
and I would like to see the footage.
Later I wrote up an incident report then went to H.P.S.
central station for advice. The officer on
desk read my report and gave me a information card for COAST a mental health
crisis hotline perhaps they can send a counselor to evaluate Dean’s mental health and go from there. He also said the
police can’t do anything because no threats were uttered and we didn’t get
physical. I thanked the officer for his
time and left H.P.S. I was fine with his decision.
After speaking to the officer I decided to write a letter about
tenant Dean and H.O.W. Lynda Jones. The next
morning I fax it to Urban Native Homes Inc. administration dept. About three years ago I had a short meeting
with Lynda in regard to Dean’s behavior her response is they can’t do
anything. I left the meeting
disappointed, there are options to explore H.O.W. Lynda Jones could suggest and
encourage Dean to seek counseling for his aggression and extreme paranoia instead
to this day she chooses to be an enabler.
24 hours after the incident I see two police cruisers
pulling up to the building they are responding to a call not from tenant Dean
but from H.O.W. Lynda Jones. When the
police first arrived Dean was sitting in the community room, Lynda lead the
officers to the room and stood around listening while the officers question
Dean. Her biased towards Dean is
apparent. Anyway when
the officers came to my door for privacy I invited them to enter my unit. One officer read my incident report then asked
what happened between Dean and I. I
explained I ended the friendship years prior because his strange behavior, I
didn’t like being around him. The
meeting lasted 5 minutes there was not much the police could say except Dean
and I are not to communicate with each other which I agree with. I couldn’t be more elated this is exactly
what I requested when I went to H.P.S. the night before. :)
The Aboriginal ladies of the building were angry with Dean for causing a public disturbance
in front of KMHC and he was told.
Here is a Google definition that describe tenant Dean’s
mental state.
What makes a person so aggressive?
Aggressive behavior can cause physical or emotional harm to
others. It may range from verbal abuse
to physical abuse. Mental health
conditions and brain damage can contribute to aggressive behavior. Occasional
aggressive outbursts are common and even normal.
