A few things happened at KMHC since my last blog. In regard to the UNH transportation van after
a long absence I signed up as a passenger to a recent event held at Native
Women Centre. Driver Rachel George was courteous
and there was no inappropriate conversation during the 15 min. trip. There’s been a lot of talk about the UNH
transportation van and what it’s been used for & yet I can’t comment on any
monkey business. The Native Women Centre presentation was
informative, interesting and I had the chance to meet new people at the
program. At the end there was a raffle draw and I won a
sleeping bag. :)

As part of the transitional process new instructions were
posted at the KMHC entrance. Urban Native
Homes Inc. will not accept housing applications. Application for housing can be obtained by
going to the Ontario Aboriginal Housing Services website their office is based
in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
HOW Lynda Jones has missed a lot of days of work at KMHC and
I hope they don’t renew her job position come March 31/18.
Last week UNH posted a survey invitation for all tenants. I thought this is nice yet when I showed up
at the community room the interviewer Diane Forbes said she’s doing a one on
one survey from each tenant. Diane took
down my name and phone number and never got back to me to complete the
survey. This is why we need better
management, a team that knows what in the hell they are doing. What a waste of time. :(
Aunt Opie |
Tenant Aunt Opie continues to spread nasty stories and gossip
about other tenants in the building and I have a suggestion on how tenants can
deal with her. When approached by Aunt
Opie either by phone/text or in person say these words “I Don’t
Want To Hear It!” Hopefully this will
shut her up and she’ll go away.
