Tenant Meeting April 25, 2012

The main topic today was bedbugs the Super had a presentation all set up about these nasty creatures and I could tell most of the tenants felt uncomfortable. I feel this is an issue that needed to be told, education and providing information is the only way to win the war over these creepy crawly bugs and another tenant complained ants are attacking her unit.  I attended the meeting because I had a few issues to address one is "inspection overkill" especially mine. When I asked the Super the response was “to cut down on work order requests I’m doing seasonal inspections” the funny thing is I've never handed in a work order since I've been here. :P  I can understand one annual inspection for all units but for fuck sakes! do we really need one for fire, A/C, pest control and heating and other all at different dates. I value my privacy and it seems to me UNH’s doesn’t give a shit that we tenants are being inconvenienced by having to move our furniture and belongings to ...

Today Was A Good Day

I woke up this morning thinking should I attend the luncheon held in the community room hosted by Sandra and Lorraine B. At the last moment I thought “what the hell…I'll just pop in and be sociable”. I did my usual “Hey Everybody!” as I walking in and helped myself to the buffet.  Lorraine and I had a great conversation about foods of the world, celebrities who passed on and she gave me the scoop on NWC’s policies.  Lots of laughs and great conversation that’s all you need for a great lunch gathering. Sandra invited a bluegrass band to entertain the tenants but I had an errand to do for Spencer (a fellow tenant who has a disability) so I had to leave. When I arrived back to the building I managed to listen to one song before the ending of the show. It’s not often I have an enjoyable afternoon in the land of Koo Gaa Da Win Manitou housing complex. Tomorrow is Friday the 13 th ....Yikes! This is the day I don’t walk under ladders and I avoid black cats and don’t break an...

Ingrid N. The Final Chapter Pt 1

Continuing with the comments made in my previous post: On the afternoon of April 2, 2012 I ran into Ingrid at the front entrance and I personally told her "Someone doesn't like you there's serious allegations written about you in my blog, you should read it"  then I turned and walked away.   This is her opportunity to speak up but she never posted a comment in her defense, no phone call, no knock on the door to talk...nothing.  Communication it's a wonderful thing, without communication disputes cannot be resolved.  Ingrid's inaction and unwilling to speak for herself....raised a red flag. I have no idea why UNH's keeps her here perhaps it’s out of pity or that nobody else wants the job.  The woman has been here since day one but she’s getting on in years, she looks miserable, frail, haggard and Anonymous has a point about Ingrid’s mental faculties I’ve noticed flaws in her decision making and her judgement is impaired.  18 months ago I filed an e-mai...

I Can't Believe It, This Is So Tacky.

For April 5, 2012 a Easter potluck luncheon invite was posted on the bulletin board for the tenants of K-M Housing Complex.  I don’t mind contributing food to an informal gathering but today we received a little note asking to bring our own plates, utensils and a cup in effort to cut down on waste.  Sometimes I wonder what in the hell the K-M staff are thinking I'll bet this was the Super's idea,  it’s not like we have a feast every month in this joint so why make a big fuss over a few paper plates, plastic utensils and God forbid we should touch their plastic cups .  Talk about being cheap!  According to the King School Of Etiquette a host should never ask guests to bring their own plates, cups and utensils even to a potluck function, just be grateful the guests bring food.  Next time we should have a Medieval Times luncheon where we eat off the table with our bare hands maybe then K-M will stop being so anal. :P This is such a turn-off, at the moment...
