Today I had a wonderful surprise I ran into former outreach worker Lorraine and the driver of KMHC at the Jackson Square mall. They were holding hands looking like a happy couple. We chatted for a bit and in my opinion Lorraine was the best KMHC outreach worker this place ever had, she was a ray of sunshine in a dark clouded environment, she was always there for us if we needed help or just to talk. Lorraine was surprised to hear Charles has left the building. I never got the chance to test out Special K’s driving skills but he was a nice guy to me whenever we met in the hallway or in the community room. I’m glad Lorraine has moved on to better employment and she looks well. I’ve always wondered why staff never get the chance to say goodbye to the tenants and today I found out why.
